The demand for paints used in the automobile and motorbike industry in Vietnam is increasing sharply. Foreign investors have invested in this field.

Recently, Nippon Paint Company (Japan) has opened the third paint factory in Vinh Phuc province, with investment capital of $ 14 million, producing 15,000 tons of paint a year. This factory will focus on producing industrial paints for cars, motorbikes, marine coatings, plastics ... to meet the Vietnamese market.
Previously, the second plant was built by the company in 2005, also in Vinh Phuc, to supply paint for the automobile and motorbike industry, with a capacity of 5,000 tons per year.

Mr. Kondo Masao, General Director of Nippon Paint Company in Vinh Phuc, said that the economic development, consumption of cars and motorcycles in Vietnam increased sharply demand for paint, which is the reason that Nippon continue to invest The third plant, three times the capacity.

Not only Nippon, a number of paint manufacturers serving the automobile and motorbike industries are also present and investing in the Vietnamese market recently, such as Kansai Paint, BBG (Japan) ... According to Nippon, Most of the companies assembling cars and motorbikes in Vietnam such as Honda, Yamaha, Toyota, Truong Hai, Xuan Kien ... are using their paint to paint cars and motorbikes.

Pham Van Tai, deputy general director of Truong Hai Auto Group, said that with the production of up to 40,000 units a year, the demand for paint to paint parts, chassis, body of the car ... This company is huge. However, from the time of production to now, over the past ten years, only foreign paint suppliers or FDI companies to offer the product.

"We are willing to meet the paint business in Vietnam, see their products and order if good quality, reasonable price. Truthfully, Truong Hai is keen to use domestic paint for some truck products and passenger cars to reduce costs, but there is no chance of finding a Vietnamese partner, "said Tai.
